This also includes that separate from the fundamental building block, tensor decomposition is used as a powerful pattern matching tool and generalizing tool. Examples: from a few primary building blocks, tensor decomposition can generate a wide range of more advanced, high-order patterns. Some examples are: Tensor decomposition can be used to generate the basic building blocks and rules that underlie much of the theory of tensor decomposition. This theory can then be used to more generally generate tensors and tensor patterns. Many people have questioned the very existence of the intrinsic dimensionality of tensor patterns. This has been shown to be the case by many people, from the basic model to present day decompositions. Some multidimensional scaling and tensor decomposition studies have gone so far as to assert that "global multi-dimensional scaling has not been able to distinguish between different patterns". A comprehensive theory of tensor decomposition has been presented and can be used to provide a set of tools to deal with the tensor archetypes. Tensor decomposition can also be used to deal with many other patterns. Tensor decomposition can be used to generalize, and in effect, reduce, the variety of patterns in the multidimensional scaling of the tensor archetypes. 2.3.6.
